We all remember our first kiss, and one thing is certain no matter how exciting or horrible it may have been; we’d still know if bad breath was the kiss crushing culprit.

The awkwardness, the insecurity…the anticipation!

Many a first kiss was cut short by bad breath, or if the other person had something in their teeth…or if they faked feeling tooth pain in an impromptu effort to pay homage to their favorite hockey movie at the time while desperately trying to exhibit the ultimate in self-assured coolness…

Whatever it is that has that lasting impression about our first kiss, we can laugh at it now – good and bad. With it being Valentine’s Day, we though sharing some social dental health info might help make for some better kisses this evening.

Better Kisses for All!

Let’s face it; if our dental health is more ordinary than optimal, nobody is going to want to kiss us.

Here are the top five things we can do to ensure our kissability remains constant.

1. Brush 2x per day!
2. Floss daily – at least!
3. Visit our dentist 2x a year – at least!
4. Use Mouthwash!
5. Don’t be afraid to do a little self-assessment!

Number five could be tricky, but here’s a tip to a tip: try licking your hand then smelling the result. Let it dry or take a whiff right away, either way if things smell not so good, take evasive action!

Sound gross, but it could save our kissers from conflictingly confounding consequences.
