The following is a public service announcement of dental humor juxtaposed over a driving while texting message.
While some of the material may be too graphic for some viewers, according to this Huffington Post article, the director Olivier Agostini hoped the spot for Impact Teen Drivers would capture teens’ attention with a bit of humor.
Did somebody say dental humor?
We at the very least applaud the young director’s creativity in attaching something so seemingly unpleasant and imaginary as a texting dentist, to something as real life and every day as people driving while texting.
“The backbone of the spot was to create awareness on the dangers of distracted driving without relying on the use of ubiquitous scare imagery or graphic car-crash footage,” Agostini was quoted as saying in Adland.
What do you think, did the director hit the mark – or miss by a long shot with this analogous albeit mildly graphic depiction of driving while texting vs texting while doing dentistry montage?
