Most kids don’t even know what the heck optimal means, and they sure as heckfire don’t care about dental health, but the question remains.
 
Could an app teach our kids proper oral health care habits at such an early age?
 
Maybe we need to give kids more credit, maybe their brains are developed enough to take in and process the dental health message. Or maybe it’s just a way to make the early dental health connection and establish familiarity with their own teeth and gums.
 
Having been witness to a recent spot-on Star Spangled Banner rendition by a barely 4-year-old crooner, this dental health advocate will never discount how early, or often, our kids expand their learning capacity.

With the light-speed advancement of consumer technology, there are new apps out there every day, something surely promising to improve all of our lives beyond belief.

What we find more often than not is just a big time (and bandwidth) waste that only contributes to our need for mindless entertainment – Angry Birds notwithstanding.

Enter once more, dental health into the conversation; something most assuredly not a waste of time. The iPad is the tool, digital is the medium, and optimal oral health is the message.
